Finding both quality and quantity in the finest Domaines in Burgundy is not easy. Domaine Michelot however boasts a total of 19 hectares of vines and they apply the most natural methods possible to optimise the quality of the grapes. Their wines are simply delicious and display the finest characteristics of Meursault. Jean-Francois Mestre has been in charge since 1993 but increasingly his son Nicolas drives the winemaking with a focus on crystalline purity of fruit and expression of terroir.
Lemon and orange peel, touch of white pepper and saline – pure and a touch chalky too. Lime, fresh herb and a great use of oak lends spicy cedar to the finish.
