Santa Carolina Reserve Pinot Noir
£11.25
Santa Carolina, founded in 1875 and currently owned by the Larrain family, proudly champions Chilean Heritage with a focus on innovation. Through the journey of the valleys, Santa Carolina respects each varietals typicity and treasures the expression of fruit. The estates, owned and managed by Santa Carolina, are located in Maipo, Rapel, Leyda, Casablanca and Colchagua.
Elegant, complex and smooth, this medium bodied wine has strawberry and redcurrant fruit flavours with a touch of white pepper and a soft, lingering finish. The grapes were grown in the Casablanca Valley, a region renowned for making excellent cool climate wines. The Pacific Ocean brings morning fogs and cool afternoon breezes that moderate the valley temperatures and humidity, allowing the grapes to slowly ripen and develop complex flavours. The wine was then aged for six months in French oak barrels and is left to mature for one year brior to bottling. This wine is a good match with grilled tuna and roast beef.
